Lee received his law degree from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 2011 with Honors. During his time in law school, he served as Editor in Chief of the UNB Law Journal and competed at the Laskin Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick Medal for placing first overall within his graduating class.
Lee initially articled with the firm in 2011-2012. Upon his call to the bar in 2012, Lee practiced for several years at a National Law Firm within their Health Law Group, where he gained extensive experience defending public hospitals, regulated health professionals and health care clinics with respect to a wide variety of civil and regulatory matters. Between 2017-2018, Lee worked as legal counsel at the University Health Network, one of the largest research and teaching hospitals in North America.
Lee rejoined the firm in the Fall of 2018 to continue his practice representing health care clients and professionals with respect to a wide variety of regulatory, professional discipline, employment and general litigation matters. Lee has appeared at all levels of court in the Province of Ontario and has acted as counsel before most of the regulated health profession colleges. Lee has extensive experience representing clients before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, the Information and Privacy Commissioner and with respect to Coroner’s Inquests.
